Mahdi M. Gulaid, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS), discussed the country’s reform agenda with Ambassador James Swan.
Ambassador Swan is the United Nations Special Envoy to Somalia.
Gulaid and Ambassador Swan discussed these issues and more on January 5 when they met in Mogadishu.
Additionally, Gulaid and Swan talked about the upcoming elections in the East African nation.
Somalia is getting ready to hold parliamentary and presidential elections in January 2021 and February 2021 respectively.
During Tuesday’s discussion, the Deputy Prime Minister assured Ambassador Swan that the country has made adequate preparations for the elections.
