The Horn of Africa Voluntary Youth Committee, which is more affectionately known as Havoyoco, has donated COVID-19 prevention kits to Somaliland’s health ministry.
Havoyoco partnered with Oxfam to donate the kits that the Ministry of Health needs to test and prevent the further spread of COVID-19 in the country.
Its latest donation consists of spraying bombs, disinfectants, and handwashing equipment.
Abdilahi Hassan, Havoyoco’s Country Director, handed the kits to the health ministry at a short ceremony conducted on Wednesday in Hargeisa.
While presenting the donation, Hassan said the organization remains committed to helping the government and all people of Somaliland to curtail the spread of the deadly disease.
Furthermore, the Country Director said that it donated the kits in response to a request by the health ministry for more spraying bombs.
