Somalia’s Minister of Health, Dr. Ali Hajiadam Abubakar, along with senior officials from the World Health Organization (WHO) Somalia and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Somalia, participated in an event to commemorate World Polio Day held in Mogadishu on Thursday.
The event highlighted the ongoing efforts to combat polio in Somalia, focusing on vaccination campaigns and awareness to eliminate the disease.
This aligns with global initiatives to eradicate polio and protect children from its debilitating effects, especially in vulnerable regions like Somalia.
The collaboration of the Somali government with international health organizations plays a vital role in these health initiatives.
