Health Minister Tours De Martini Hospital with WHO Delegation

Dr. Fawziya Abikar Nur, the Minister of Health, toured Mogadishu’s De Martini Hospital with officials from the World Health Organization (WHO) on Sunday, August 22.

The health minister and the WHO delegation visited various departments at the hospital.

They paid close attention to the COVID-19 Infection Control Unit. In addition to that, the senior government and WHO Somalia officials visited the Vaccine Delivery Unit.

They also inspected the ongoing construction of a new oxygen plant at the health facility.

De Martini is the largest hospital handling COVID-19 patients in the East African nation.

The construction of the oxygen plant is possible because of funding from the global health organization. Target Group Ltd is implementing its construction.
