The Ministry of Health in the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has launched a multi-year COVID-19 project in the country.
Dr. Fawziya Abikar Nur, the Minister of Health, launched the project on February 3.
She announced that the project seeks to boost Somalia’s response to the virulent disease, which has hit its health sector hard.
Through the project, the federal government seeks to strengthen Somalia’s health system.
While launching the project on Wednesday, Dr. Nur expressed gratitude to the European Union (EU) Delegation in Somalia and World Health Organization (WHO) for their support.
