The ongoing heavy rains and floods in Somalia have destroyed over 4,000 houses around the country.
According to the latest information from the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SODMA), the rains have left 4,560 houses completely ruined.
SODMA provided the latest statistics on the impact of the rains on Sunday evening.
The ruined houses translate to thousands of people being without accommodation.
Currently, the rains have displaced 534,180 people in various parts of the nation while affecting 932,580 individuals as per the data from SODMA.
As of yesterday evening, 32 people had lost their lives in the floods, which are the result of El Nino.
