Southern parts of Somalia will experience heavy rains in the next seven days.
Somali Water and Land Information Management (SWALIM) announced this on Wednesday.
It issued a joint weather forecast together with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for the April 19-26 period.
In the forecast, SWALIM and FAO announced that the heavy rains could lead to a rise in the water levels of River Jubba.
Consequently, floods are a huge possibility.
Locals near the riverbank are advised to move to safer grounds.
