The Governor of Hiiraan region led Somali National Army (SNA) forces to recapture a village that has been under the control of Al-Shabaab extremists for a long time.
Governor Ali Jeyte joined the SNA troops in the operation that took place on Tuesday, September 20.
He successfully led the government troops to recapture Booco village in Hiiraan.
The Governor commended members of the local communities for teaming up with the government troops to fight Al-Shabaab.
Booco has been under the control of Al-Shabaab terrorists for 13 years.
