The Governor of Hiiran region visited Mahas district in the company of several Members of Parliament (MPs).
Governor Ali Jeyte visited Mahas with MPs elected to represent the region in the federal House of the People (Lower House).
The legislators who accompanied him were Mohamed Abdikadir and Mohamed Burale.
Their reason for visiting was to evaluate the district that has just been liberated by the Somali National Army (SNA) soldiers from the control of Al-Shabaab terrorists.
They also inspected wells in the district that Al-Shabaab terrorists had destroyed.
