The regional state of HirShabelle has concluded elections for the House of the People (Lower House) seats.
HirShabelle held polls for its two remaining seats on Friday, May 6.
One of the seats, HOP#135, fell vacant after the incumbent lost her life in a terrorist attack in the region last month.
Mohamed Aden Dahir emerged victorious in the HOP#135 polls.
Elsewhere, HirShabelle’s State Elections Implementation Team (SEIT) announced Abukar Islow Duale the winner of the polls conducted for the HOP#141 seat.
Duale is a former Minister of Security in the Somali government.
