The leader of the regional state of HirShabelle has returned to Somalia.
HirShabelle’s President Ali Gudlawe returned to Mogadishu on June 8 after concluding his foreign trip.
Gudlawe has been out of the country on a working visit.
The plane carrying the HirShabelle leader landed at Aden Adde International Airport on Wednesday.
Members of Parliament (MPs) representing HirShabelle in the federal parliament were at the airport to welcome Gudlawe back to the country.
Gudlawe is now expected to join his fellow regional leaders and other dignitaries at the inauguration ceremony of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
