The regional state of HirShabelle has postponed elections in two constituencies.
HirShabelle’s State Elections Implementation Team (SEIT) postponed the elections on March 8.
Consequently, no elections for the two House of the People (Lower House) seats would take place with the rest.
Instead, delegates at HOP#010 and HOP#066 would have to wait for a new date.
The SEIT opted to take this decision after traditional elders and candidates vying for the two seats raised a few complaints regarding the entire process.
