General Abukar Hud, the rebel leader from HirShabelle, has announced his meeting with President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo over ending the ongoing political row.
Gen. Hud is at the forefront of the fight seeking to separate Hiraan from HirShabelle.
Troops loyal to Gen. Hud have fought HirShabelle Regional Forces for weeks.
Gen. Hud spoke of his optimism that the meetings with Farmaajo would end the row and conflict in HirShabelle.
Furthermore, he has thrown his weight behind the decision by the government to deploy federal troops in Beledweyne.
Nevertheless, he promised to remove those troops if they fail to perform their national duties.
