HirShabelle’s State Elections Implementation Team (SEIT) has announced the list of elders who will appoint electoral delegates.
The regional SEIT announced the names of the elders on Saturday, March 26.
As per the norm, the elders would now take time to select the delegates who will vote for the new Member of Parliament (MP) for the HOP#058 seat.
HirShabelle and Jubbaland are the only remaining regional states yet to conclude elections for the federal House of the People (Lower House) seats.
They are yet to conclude an exercise that should have ended on March 15.
