Ahmed Omar Gabow, who is HirShabelle’s Minister of Disarmament and Rehabilitation, died in Jowhar on Thursday.
According to President Mohamed Abdi Ware of HirShabelle State, Gabow died of an illness that he has battled with for the last few days.
However, the exact cause of his death and the specific ailment that eventually killed him has not been indicated.
President Ware has sent his messages of condolences to Gabow’s family, friends, and relatives.
Apart from being a minister in Ware’s administration has also been a lawmaker after joining the state parliament in 2016.
