HirShabelle’s Minister of Justice Tests Positive for COVID-19

Authorities have announced that Khalif Mumin Tohow, the Minister of Justice in HirShabelle State, tested positive for COVID-19.

The announcement follows Tohow’s own confession that he has been diagnosed with the virulent disease.

Following the announcement, widespread fear has gripped his fellow cabinet ministers who believe that they could have been exposed to the disease after coming into contact with him.

Three weeks ago, Tohow was in the same cabinet meeting with his colleagues. President Mohamed Abdi Ware of HirShabelle chaired that meeting.

Mohamed Abdilahi Mohamed, HirShabelle’s Minister of Information, confirmed this news to the public on Friday.

Tohow is now in quarantine receiving treatment in a Mogadishu hospital after leaving the Jowhar hotel where he had been ailing at for the past 10 days.
