Ali Abdullahi Hussein Guudlaawe, the new President of HirShabelle, has blasted the international community for ignoring his region.
President Guudlaawe said that the international community has not provided the support that his administration needs for development.
Guudlaawe reminded the international community that HirShabelle has endured countless crises without receiving any assistance from them.
Ali Guudlaawe was elected the new President of HirShabelle by the regional parliament on Wednesday, November 11.
Several candidates withdrew from the race citing Guudlaawe’s support from President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo.
Instead, Guudlaawe extended appreciation to traditional leaders and electoral commissioners for ensuring that the regional state remains intact and stable.
He urged the people of HirShabelle to work closely with his new administration for the prosperity and security of the entire region.
