Hormuud Telecom has awarded scholarships to 37 students in Somalia.
The telecommunications firm awarded the scholarships to the students through its Hormuud Salaam Foundation (HSF).
It awarded the scholarships to 37 out of 400 students who applied for them.
While awarding the scholarships, HSF singled out those who not only claimed the top spots but also earned the highest marks in the recent examinations.
The students applied for the scholarships last month.
Hormuud allows students to apply to and enroll in their preferred universities. It pays for each student’s educational expenses in full.
