Hormuud Telecom has donated 1,000 oxygen cylinders to hospitals in Somalia to boost the country’s fight against COVID-19.
In recent times, the lack of sufficient number of oxygen cylinders in Somalia has been highlighted numerously.
The situation is made worse by the fact that Somalia is on the midst of a second wave of the deadly disease.
Somalia has been reporting huge numbers of confirmed COVID-19 cases over the last two months.
On February 23, Hormuud, the country’s largest telecommunications firm, donated 1,000 oxygen cylinders.
The cylinders are to be distributed amongst local hospitals in different parts of the country.
