The House of Representatives has passed a resolution endorsing the strengthening of diplomatic ties between Somaliland and Taiwan.
The resolution was passed on Saturday September 12 during the 43rd Session of the House of Representatives.
In the resolution, the Lower House states that it “supports the relationships between the governments of Somaliland and Taiwan.”
Further, it also offered its support to the Taiwan Relations Act (TRA).
The House also extended its approval for the support that the US Security Advisors Council has offered towards the relationship between Somaliland and Taiwan.
Lastly, the House of Representatives also announced that it would be joining FORMOSA, an inter-parliamentary platform for promoting exchanges between African countries and Taiwan.
