Hundreds of new Somali Police Force (SPF) officers were sworn in on Monday.
Their swearing-in ceremony took place in Mogadishu. Brigadier General Sulub Ahmed Firin, the SPF chief, led several senior commanders in witnessing the ceremony held for 300 new officers.
The ceremony took place at Mogadishu’s General Kahiye Police Academy.
Brig. Gen. Firin commended the recruits for passing the training successfully.
He reassured them of the government’s support as they embarked on their first duty, which was to secure the national capital in the holy month of Ramadan.
