Mustafa Duhulow recently met with the African Union Special Representative for Somalia, Ambassador Mohamed El-Amine Souef, and the AU Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) Commander, Lt. Gen Sam Kavuma.
During their discussions on Wednesday, they explored ways to enhance cooperation on migration.
The focus was on strengthening the infrastructure of Somalia’s migration authority and providing advanced training to its officers, with the AU playing a pivotal role in these initiatives.
This collaboration underscores Somalia’s commitment to addressing migration challenges while leveraging AU support to build institutional capacity and improve management systems.
Duhulow who was at the meeting in his capacity as the Director General of the Immigration and Citizenship Agency (ICA), urged the AU to help his team in delivering the much-needed services to Somalis.
