The International Court of Justice (ICJ) has postponed the case on the maritime dispute between Somalia and Kenya to 2021.
ICJ says that it will now hear the case on March 15-19, 2021 rather than the initial dates of June 8, 2020.
Last month, Kenya filed a case at the court asking it to postpone it because of the COVID-19 pandemic that has hit the Horn of Africa region hard.
Additionally, Kenya had also requested Somalia for an out of court settlement, which its neighbor objected to saying that the case has to proceed on schedule.
This is the third time that ICJ has postponed the case between the two East African neighbors.
