The Hague-based International Court of Justice (ICJ) is scheduled to render its verdict on the maritime case between Kenya and Somalia on October 12.
Mahdi Gulaid, the Deputy Prime Minister, announced this on Monday, September 20.
Somalia filed the maritime case with ICJ against Kenya in 2014.
Since then, the case has caused plenty of bad blood between the two neighboring countries in the East Africa region.
Somalia wants the ICJ to adjudicate against Kenya over 100,000km sq.
It has repeatedly accused Kenya of failing to respect its territorial integrity.
On many occasions, Kenya has attempted to convince ICJ to allow it to settle the matter with Somalia out of court.
