Somalia is expected to receive below-level rainfalls in April 2022.
The Intergovernmental Authority on Development Climate Prediction and Applications Center (ICPAC) announced this on March 30.
ICPAC’s predictions mirror those from other sources.
Various sources intimated the likelihood of Somalia experiencing higher chances of below-normal rains.
The Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) has also provided similar forecasts.
According to ICPAC and FAO, the below normal rains are likely to last from April to June, thus not giving farmers any respite.
