IDPs at a Camp in Galguduud Receive Water and Sanitation Services

Internally displaced persons (IDPs) at a camp in Galguduud region have received water, hygiene, and sanitation services.

The IDPs received the services through the joint efforts of a few organizations.

United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) worked together with Somalia Humanitarian Fund (SHF) to make the services available to the IDPs.

Center for Peace and Democracy (CPD) Africa also teamed up with them in this project.

The IDPs who received the aforementioned services were those at the Xeebeed IDP Camp in Galguduud.

Henceforth, all the 300 families at the camp will benefit from the water, sanitation, and hygiene services.

The three organizations reiterated their commitment to helping people in crowded places around Somalia to avoid diseases.

They donated these services to the IDPs on Thursday, September 15.
