IED Explosion in Bosaso Kills Two Traditional Elders

An improvised explosive device (IED) blast killed two traditional elders in Bosaso on Saturday.

The attack was the second one in Somalia on February 19.

Earlier, a similar attack that Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for killed several individuals in Beledweyne.

The Bosaso incident took place at a teashop.

According to official sources, the elders who died in Bosaso have been identified as Abdi Isse and Yasin Ali.

Six other residents suffered injuries from the Bosaso IED explosion. They are in hospital receiving treatment for their injuries.
