The leaders of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) have been briefed on the recent fact-finding mission to Sudan.
Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu, IGAD’s Executive Secretary, briefed the leaders who included Somalia’s President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo on February 6.
The IGAD Executive Secretary had led the team that conducted the fact-finding mission to Sudan.
After the briefing, IGAD leaders then agreed to convene a Summit of Heads of State and Government as soon as possible.
In fact, the Summit is likely to take place in the next few weeks.
