The Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) has listed the consolidation of peace among its priorities for 2023.
Nuur Mohamud Sheekh, the IGAD Spokesperson, said this on Sunday while briefing the media.
Sheekh mentioned that the regional organization would prioritize the peace-building process in the East African nation next year.
Further, the organization also intends to implement the agreement on the cessation of hostilities in Ethiopia.
Implementation of the South Sudan agreement would be a matter of priority too.
Sheekh added that the regional body would pursue the establishment of a civilian government in Sudan.
