Incoming and outgoing African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) commanders visited a forward operating base (FOB) in Kismayo on Sunday.
Brigadier William Kamoiro and Brigadier Seif Salim Rashid both visited the New Airport FOB in Kismayo.
Brig. Kamoiro is the outgoing ATMIS Sector II Commander.
He traveled to the FOB with Brig. Rashid, who is the incoming ATMIS Sector II Commander.
They were at the FOB to assess the preparedness of the ATMIS troops as well as their welfare.
Both of them commended the ATMIS troops at the FOB and the entire region for the professionalism and dedication displayed in their work.
