An influential politician in the Somali State is the new Ethiopian Minister of Trade and Regional Integration.
Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed appointed Dr. Hassan Moalim into his cabinet last week.
Dr. Moalim recently won elections that saw him join the Ethiopian Federal Parliament.
He won the seat under the Prosperity Party, the Prime Minister’s party.
Close to 250,000 people voted for him in the just concluded elections, a factor that proves his incredible support in the region.
Leaders from the Somali Regional State in Ethiopia have been sending their congratulatory messages to Dr. Moalim ever since.
Somali Regional State’s President Mustafe Muhumed Omar led the other leaders in congratulating the country’s new trade minister.
