Daud Aweis has appealed to Somali journalists to write in the local language.
Aweis, the Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, said this when he launched a training session aimed at promoting the use of local language in journalism.
The training kicked off on Friday.
Journalists who attended the training were mostly those working for state media.
