The Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism walked out of a press conference when he was questioned about Somali youths killed in Tigray.
In the past week, the issue of the youths recruited and trained in Eritrea before being deployed to Tigray where they were eventually killed has been discussed extensively in Somalia.
Apparently, young men aged between 20-30 years old were recruited to help Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF) to wage war against Tigray rebels towards the end of last year.
A recent report from a former Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) said that more than 370 Somali youths lost their lives in the Tigray war.
Since then, the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS) has vehemently denied the reports.
Somali parents whose sons were recruited for training and subsequent posting to Ethiopia have asked the government to come out clean on the matter.
