Two people died and three others were wounded as two rival clans clashed in Eil Afwein, Sanaag Province.
The Sunday clashes, which took place at the Fadhi-gaab settlement camp, left residents bewildered and counting their losses.
According to witnesses, the skirmishes erupted when members of the two clans disagreed over the grazing land.
Although the actual fighting has ceased, tension remains high as reports indicate that members of the clans in question are reorganizing themselves for a fresh wave of attacks.
Eil Afwein has been the scene of similar skirmishes, which have caused untold suffering and deaths, in the past.
