MOGADISHU — The Director General of Somalia’s Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation (MoIFAR), Mr. Abdulkadir Ali, recently toured the construction site of the ministry’s new headquarters to comprehensively evaluate its progress and completion status.
Boosting Institutional Capacity
According to ministry officials, the new facility marks a significant milestone in boosting the federal government’s institutional capacity. The expanded infrastructure is specifically designed to dramatically improve internal coordination and enhance overall administrative efficiency across various departmental branches.
This physical expansion aligns seamlessly with the Director General’s ongoing institutional reforms, which include recent high-level coordination initiatives on Civil Registration and his leadership within the national Stabilization Committee. Ultimately, the new headquarters will serve as a modernized central hub, facilitating the provision of more effective, transparent, and accountable public services to Somali citizens nationwide.
