Ahmed Maalim Fiqi, the federal Minister of Internal Affairs, has mourned the death of a renowned Somali cleric.
Fiqi condoled with the family of Sheikh Abdiazis Mohamed Hersi, who died on Friday after unknown people attacked him.
His death occurred in Dharkenley district in Mogadishu.
In his message of condolences, Fiqi called Sheikh Hersi a “resourceful” elder of the community who lived to serve his people.
Fiqi confirmed that Hersi died when members of Khawarij terrorist group attacked him as he left Dabaqayn Mosque in Dharkenley.
