An international organization has called on Somalia’s partners to institute urgent action to stop Somalis from losing their lives to the ongoing drought.
Concern International issued a report on the worsening drought and humanitarian situation in the East African nation.
According to a report from the Irish humanitarian organization, Somalia is currently facing the worst drought in 40 years.
Concern Worldwide indicated that world governments need to show more commitment towards the 4.5 million Somalis facing hunger, starvation, and disease.
Amina Abdulla, the organization’s Regional Director for the Horn of Africa, said that the world should not wait for a child to die to help Somalis.
