International Water Law Training Launched in Mogadishu

Somalia has launched a five-day training on International Water Law in Mogadishu.

The 5-day training, which started on Sunday, signals the country’s commitment to sustainable transboundary water management.

This training aims to equip Somali officials and stakeholders with the knowledge and tools to navigate international legal frameworks governing shared water resources.

As Somalia shares significant water systems with neighboring countries, the training is an important step toward strengthening regional cooperation.

It will ensure the equitable and sustainable use of water resources, particularly in the context of climate change and regional water security challenges too.
