The International Organization for Migration (IOM) will scale up support to Somalis affected by floods.
IOM announced that the improved support would be for flood victims in central and southern Somalia.
It would kick off this period of increased support in Beledweyne and Bardhere.
The global body announced these plans through its Somalia office on Monday.
However, the assistance would benefit rural communities too instead of major towns such as those listed above.
During this phase, IOM is to identify communities that need help.
Its personnel are then to provide such communities with lifesaving assistance that includes water and shelter among others.
