Italy has recommitted itself and its resources to the fight against COVID-19 in Somalia.
On February 26, Italian Agency for Development Cooperation announced fresh plans to support COVID-19 response efforts by the Federal Government of Somalia (FGS).
Somalia is currently grappling with resurgence in COVID-19.
The COVID-19 figures have increased significantly in the East African nation.
A day ago, the Ministry of Health announced a record figure of 304 fresh cases, which are the highest since COVID-19 was first reported in the country.
On Friday, Italy indicated that it would collaborate with Galmudug’s Ministry of Health and Human Services to provide quality COVID-19 response.
Moreover, the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation would be working closely with CISP Somalia.
