Italy’s new ambassador to Somalia has handed over his credentials to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
Amb. Pier Mario Dacco Coppi submitted his credentials to Abshir Omar Jama Huruse, the foreign affairs minister.
The handing-over ceremony took place at the ministry’s headquarters in Mogadishu on Thursday.
Huruse welcomed Amb. Coppi to the East African nation and expressed hope that relations between Somalia and Italy would improve substantially.
