Deputy Prime Minister Salah Jama held a meeting with a top United Nations official to discuss security in Somalia.
Jama met with Jean-Pierre Lacroix in Addis Ababa on Sunday.
Lacroix, the UN Under-Secretary-General, was in the Ethiopian capital to attend the 37th African Union Summit.
Jama and Lacroix met on the sidelines of the ongoing summit, which runs from February 18-19.
Apart from that, they also discussed the ongoing drawdown of AU Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) forces.
DPM Jama briefed Lacroix on the ongoing operations against Al-Shabaab and ways of advancing the state-building process.
