Jigjiga’s first exclusive hospital for mothers and children will be up and running in the next six months.
President Mustafe M. Omer of the Somali Regional State of Ethiopia laid the foundation stone to signal the commencement of the facility’s construction.
During a brief ceremony held on Saturday to launch its construction, the President said that it would serve the growing population in the region.
Jigjiga, the capital of the Somali Regional State of Ethiopia, has never enjoyed the services of such a facility.
