A joint initiative between International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the European Union (EU) continues to assist vulnerable migrants in different parts of Somalia.
This week, the teams from EU and IOM were in Bossaso to offer assistance to tens of vulnerable migrants.
EU and IOM formed the Joint Initiative for Migrant Protection and Reintegration after examining the plight of migrants in the country.
Its teams were deployed to Bossaso to carry out awareness raising campaigns.
Other than that, the teams were also responsible for distributing essential non-food items to 83 migrants in Bossaso.
EuropeAid, which is responsible for EU’s International Cooperation and Development activities, also supports the initiative.
