Businesses in Jowhar remained closed for the second day running following orders from Al-Shabaab.
The militants made the order to local business owners despite Al-Shabaab not controlling the town.
Business owners closed their shops for the first time on February 23.
Apparently, Al-Shabaab adherents had summoned them to Adan Yabal to pay extortion money, which the militant group considers taxes.
