President Ahmed Islam Madobe of Jubaland State held a meeting with top military officers from the United States.
Madobe’s closed-door meeting with the US officers took place on Saturday, October 9 at Kismayo.
Colonel Thomas Sarrouf, the Head of Counter-Terrorism Operations, led the US team.
During the meeting, Madobe discussed the ongoing fight against Al-Shabaab with the senior US military officers.
Today’s meeting took place hours after President Madobe held similar talks with Brigadier General Odowaa Yusuf Rageh, the Commander of Somali National Army (SNA).
Brig. Gen. Rageh visited Madobe in Kismayo on Friday.
