President Ahmed Madobe of Jubaland Regional State has ordered the region’s state commanders to conduct targeted operations against Al-Shabaab.
He made this announcement during a special meeting held with Jubaland troops in Afmadow, Low Juba.
President Madobe said Al-Shabaab’s presence in areas under Jubaland’s control need to be curtailed forthwith.
He reiterated that targeting Al-Shabaab through several operations is the best way of maintaining security in the region.
During the meeting, the commanders also took the opportunity to brief the President on several other areas.
They reviewed their operations. Furthermore, they provided detailed assessments of their last operations and level of preparedness to the leader of Jubaland.
