The regional state of Jubbaland has burnt tons of poor-quality food.
Jubbaland’s quality and standards control authority supervised the destruction of the food on February 11.
The authority burnt three tons of foodstuff that included pasta and rice.
Local officials also burnt and destroyed sugar that traders had brought in with the intention of selling to members of the public.
