The Jubbaland administration has donated several goats to Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) in Somalia for the Eid-ul-Adha or Hajj celebrations.
KDF soldiers serve in Sector IV of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) contingent.
Jubbaland, under President Ahmed Islam Mohamed Madobe, said the donation was its appreciation for the sterling role the KDF soldiers played in restoring peace in the region.
Madobe, who once served as a Commander of the Ras Kamboni Brigade, is credited with helping the KDF soldiers to make Jubbaland safe and secure.
On their part, KDF spokesperson stated that the donation offered solid proof of the “cordial relationship” between its soldiers and Jubbaland.
Furthermore, KDF indicated that the goats would be shared between the military, police officers, and civilians in the area.
