Regional security forces in Jubbaland have confirmed that a military operation carried out in Kismayo helped them to seize tons of explosives.
The operation, which was conducted on Friday in the north Kismayo area of Yontow, led to the capture of explosives and grenades.
Furthermore, the security forces were able to arrest two suspected Al-Shabaab extremists.
The capture of the Al-Shabaab fighters took place in a separate operation carried out in Kismayo too.
Lately, the Somali National Army (SNA) troops in conjunction with regional forces, AMISOM contingent, and AFRICOM soldiers have upped their operations against Al-Shabaab.
